Our view of generosity and support

To accommodate everyone, we would like to simply have this website accessible on an "Offer What You're Inspired" basis.  Our aspiration is to have a space where every active student of the Sakyong has an online space for practice and discussion.  We also believe that an exchange of some kind is appropriate, but that it is up to each individual in consideration of your personal inspiration and in the context of your circumstances, to make an appropriate offering.  While this platform does not allow for us to use a "pay what you're inspired" model, we have taken a stab at presenting options that should work for everyone.   Appreciating the view of an exchange based on inspiration and ability, we are committed to accommodating everyone regardless of means.

Q. What are the subscription funds used for?

Our funding priorities are:

1. Cover the costs of maintaining this website and supporting it's growth.  Currently ~$5000 annually

2. Providing scholarship funds for students to attend  in-person teachings with the Sakyong

3. Offer financial contributions to support to the Lineage

Your generosity will not go to waste.  All funds will benefit the lineage and students of the lineage.  No student will profit from this website.

Q.  I would like to make an offering, but even $3 a month is difficult in my circumstances.  

Please write to us and ask for a link to our Monastic level subscription.

Q. Can we pay at PAR, and will you accept Canadian (or other) currency

As indicated above, while the platform we use allows for many features, like the directory and the discussion board, it does not allow for much flexibility with payment processes.  We are not able to accept par payments in other currencies.  If appropriate, please select the subscription level that most closely aligns with your needs, and consider an annual payment to reduce the exchange fees.

Q. What if I don't have a credit card?

We can manually process a payment for any amount via Paypal, or Venmo.

We understand what it is like when the bills are more than our income, and when we struggle to pay for basic necessities.
